Tata take over this week – if you’ve not saved your data yet then this video goes through what I think you should be looking to save and how to do it.
WHAT TO SAVE
Yet to take the pension:
—- Benefit statement (on its own this should suffice)
—- Employment history
—- Messages if you have “important” ones
Already retired and taking the pension:
—- Employment history
—- Calculation of pension letter (in messages)
—- P60s and pension payslips
—- Messages if you have “important” ones.
Access Problems
The TPS website has been struggling to cope.
The one “key” document is the Benefit Statement.
If you don’t have access to this, or have retired, then the employment history should suffice.
Login Problems
If you are getting no access and it tells you that you have to reset your password or other such notifications, try it a couple of times but it may be that you account is “locked” and that often requires contacting them via the online chat or telephone…often difficult to get through and limited to working hours. Trying again later might work.
