Guide 10: FINANCIAL ADVICE

Guidance for finding an advisor

The thought so the amateurs who help me run the Facebook group

That group is overwhelmingly made up of teacher and ex-teachers. We also have a few members who are partners of teachers, union representatives, payroll professionals and financial advisors. The group is there to offer information, support, help, encouragement, signposting and guidance – we do NOT offer professional advice.

We also know that some members are keen to seek professional financial advice from someone who is qualified, regulated and insured. We know some members have expressed uncertainty about how to go about selecting an advisor.

David Fountain – in consultation with the group – is keen for the group to remain impartial and, as such, the group does not endorse any financial advice company or representative. Always DYOR!

This guide is intended to support those members who would like to find and engage professional advice. You will find: 1) Some guidance for things to consider when choosing a financial advisor. > 2) Some useful links.
